Electronic voice phenomena, also known as EVP, are recordings of spirit voices. Usually the voices are not heard during the recording session. In order to find EVP’s the recording is analyzed after the ghost hunt. Software can be used to analyze the recording and to clarify the voices. Audacity is a popular program used by ghost hunting groups. Audacity is a free program that can be found online at: http://audacity.sourceforge.net

1 was able to catch 2 EVPs during Saturday’s Ghost Hunt at Kent Stage. Both were caught upstairs in the Dressing Room. In the first one (just 3 minutes into our session in the Dressing Room). We were asking that “Woody” please turn off the flashlight. There were 5 people (all women) in the dressing room at the time. When he turned off the flashlight, we told him “Thank You”. You can hear a man’s voice over top of ours saying “Not a Problem.”

Later on in our session, we were speaking with a spirit named Mark. Mark was very active while we were in there, turning the flashlight on and off and lighting up both K2 meters that we had in the room with us. When he would light up on, we would ask that he light up the other one, so we would know it was him. It never failed. He would stop touching the 1st one and move over to the other one. He did this with both K2 meters and both flashlights. We asked him “Is Amelia here with you?’ you can hear a faint man’s voice that says “yeah”.
